46. QS. Al-Ahqaf (Bukit-Bukit Pasir) - 35 Ayat
وَاذْكُرْ اَخَا عَادٍۗ اِذْ اَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهٗ بِالْاَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهٖٓ اَلَّا تَعْبُدُوْٓا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ
21. Dan ingatlah (Hud) saudara kaum ‘Ad yaitu ketika dia mengingatkan kaumnya tentang bukit-bukit pasir dan sesungguhnya telah berlalu beberapa orang pemberi peringatan sebelumnya dan setelahnya (dengan berkata), “Janganlah kamu menyembah selain Allah, aku sungguh khawatir nanti kamu ditimpa azab pada hari yang besar.”
And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of ‘Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf – and warners had already passed on before him and after him – [saying], “Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day.”
قَالُوْٓا اَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ اٰلِهَتِنَاۚ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ
22. Mereka menjawab, “Apakah engkau datang kepada kami untuk memalingkan kami dari (menyembah) tuhan-tuhan kami? Maka datangkanlah kepada kami azab yang telah engkau ancamkan kepada kami jika engkau termasuk orang yang benar.”
They said, “Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful.”
قَالَ اِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۖوَاُبَلِّغُكُمْ مَّآ اُرْسِلْتُ بِهٖ وَلٰكِنِّيْٓ اَرٰىكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُوْنَ
23. Dia (Hud) berkata, “Sesungguhnya ilmu (tentang itu) hanya pada Allah dan aku (hanya) menyampaikan kepadamu apa yang diwahyukan kepadaku, tetapi aku melihat kamu adalah kaum yang berlaku bodoh.”
He said, “Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly.”
فَلَمَّا رَاَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُّسْتَقْبِلَ اَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوْا هٰذَا عَارِضٌ مُّمْطِرُنَا ۗبَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِهٖ ۗرِيْحٌ فِيْهَا عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌۙ
24. Maka ketika mereka melihat azab itu berupa awan yang menuju ke lembah-lembah mereka, mereka berkata, “Inilah awan yang akan menurunkan hujan kepada kita.” (Bukan!) Tetapi itulah azab yang kamu minta agar disegerakan datangnya (yaitu) angin yang mengandung azab yang pedih,
And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, “This is a cloud bringing us rain!” Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,
تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍۢ بِاَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَاَصْبَحُوْا لَا يُرٰىٓ اِلَّا مَسٰكِنُهُمْۗ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ
25. yang menghancurkan segala sesuatu dengan perintah Tuhannya, sehingga mereka (kaum ‘Ad) menjadi tidak tampak lagi (di bumi) kecuali hanya (bekas-bekas) tempat tinggal mereka. Demikianlah Kami memberi balasan kepada kaum yang berdosa.
Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنّٰهُمْ فِيْمَآ اِنْ مَّكَّنّٰكُمْ فِيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَّاَبْصَارًا وَّاَفْـِٕدَةًۖ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَآ اَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَآ اَفْـِٕدَتُهُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ اِذْ كَانُوْا يَجْحَدُوْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ
26. Dan sungguh, Kami telah meneguhkan kedudukan mereka (dengan kemakmuran dan kekuatan) yang belum pernah Kami berikan kepada kamu dan Kami telah memberikan kepada mereka pendengaran, penglihatan, dan hati; tetapi pendengaran, penglihatan, dan hati mereka itu tidak berguna sedikit pun bagi mereka, karena mereka (selalu) mengingkari ayat-ayat Allah dan (ancaman) azab yang dahulu mereka perolok-olokkan telah mengepung mereka.
And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
وَلَقَدْ اَهْلَكْنَا مَا حَوْلَكُمْ مِّنَ الْقُرٰى وَصَرَّفْنَا الْاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ
27. Dan sungguh, telah Kami binasakan negeri-negeri di sekitarmu dan juga telah Kami menjelaskan berulang-ulang tanda-tanda (kebesaran Kami), agar mereka kembali (bertobat).
And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief].
فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ قُرْبَانًا اٰلِهَةً ۗبَلْ ضَلُّوْا عَنْهُمْۚ وَذٰلِكَ اِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوْا يَفْتَرُوْنَ
28. Maka mengapa (berhala-berhala dan tuhan-tuhan) yang mereka sembah selain Allah untuk mendekatkan diri (kepada-Nya) tidak dapat menolong mereka? Bahkan tuhan-tuhan itu telah lenyap dari mereka? Dan itulah akibat kebohongan mereka dan apa yang dahulu mereka ada-adakan.
Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing.
وَاِذْ صَرَفْنَآ اِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُوْنَ الْقُرْاٰنَۚ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوْهُ قَالُوْٓا اَنْصِتُوْاۚ فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوْا اِلٰى قَوْمِهِمْ مُّنْذِرِيْنَ
29. Dan (ingatlah) ketika Kami hadapkan kepadamu (Muhammad) serombongan jin yang mendengarkan (bacaan) Al-Qur’an, maka ketika mereka menghadiri (pembacaan)nya mereka berkata, “Diamlah kamu (untuk mendengarkannya)!” Maka ketika telah selesai mereka kembali kepada kaumnya (untuk) memberi peringatan.
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, “Listen quietly.” And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.
قَالُوْا يٰقَوْمَنَآ اِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتٰبًا اُنْزِلَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مُوْسٰى مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِيْٓ اِلَى الْحَقِّ وَاِلٰى طَرِيْقٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ
30. Mereka berkata, “Wahai kaum kami! Sungguh, kami telah mendengarkan Kitab (Al-Qur’an) yang diturunkan setelah Musa, membenarkan (kitab-kitab) yang datang sebelumnya, membimbing kepada kebenaran dan kepada jalan yang lurus.
They said, “O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path.
